This is the way things are, as opposed to the way they could be. It’s most times limiting. The satisfaction we felt from our achievements so far sends a comfort signal down our spines. Our lines become; ‘though I’ve not got that, I’m still on same level with everyone in the room’. ‘I’ve got what is trending, it’s time to cut the chase’. ‘I got the minimum requirement for acceptance, it’s a thing to rely on for a while’.

All these feelings are so true. The only feeling your immediate environment gives is that of comfort when it knows you are limitless (can do excellently more than you’ve got).

Status quo cages our potentials, also barricades our abilities. It leaves us restrained (limited) within the box, it’s no news you hear over and over ‘think outside the box’. Now you know what the box is right? The box is the status quo/limit/mediocrity/inertia/immediate satisfaction, name it…

The first step is to identify your limits, next is to climb up the box (overcome that inertia) with your actions to make a difference and leave your comfort zone. Then you see yourself outside the box already.

Refuel the zeal and the expected difference is here. Identify, take action and you’re sure of getting there.
