Prayer an act of communing with our maker or one’s God.
As individuals who are solid in Christ we ought to know that we are to pray always and not to faint.
In Revelation 5, we are made to understand that in the kingdom of God, there is a book written within and on the back side sealed with seven seals and there was no one worthy to open the book except the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Lamb that was slain was the one worthy to open the book. It was written that when he opened the book, there were four beasts who had seven horns and seven eyes which represent the spirits of God sent into the earth and also 24 elders fell down before JESUS, the Lamb, with each of them having harps and a golden bowl full of incense or odors which represent the prayers of the saints.
God taught us how to pray in the book of Matthew 6: 9-15

As believers, we are enemies to the devil and devil is looking for whom to devour. If we are to fight the devil, we need to go to the battle against the devil through prayer. A soldier of God without prayer is as good as dead in the war. *It is just like a soldier that goes to the battle field with the Boko Haram. A soldier of Christ must put on the Armour of God which includes the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, the shield of faith, the breastplate of righteousness, the gird of truth and the gospel shoes which are curtails in prayer.
Sincerely, a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. If you think all things are working perfectly for you without prayers and don’t need to pray, you lied! Because, there are saints that pray for you, such as the pastors, your parents, and other intercessors that must have prayed for you and it’s been answered and now reflecting in your life and to you, you think it’s by chance? What if they quit praying for you? What will become of you? You need to pray without ceasing!

The Bible in Ephesians 5:16 says “redeem all days for they are evil”. This shows that we need to pray to redeem the times by proclaiming good things in all days and praying against the evil of the days.
Some of us may think our prayers are not being answered but there are answers to prayers which can be no, yes, or wait. This means that we need to be sensitive to the spirit for there are reasons behind the answers God gives us. God’s will for us is of good and not evil. I watched a movie titled, “The Encounter”. I learnt a lesson on the reasons things happen and we humans have no understanding of.
In essence, we need to develop the habit of praying so that we won’t become prey for the devil. Remember, prayer is an incense to God by saints and he is always there for us when we call on him.
